To apply to be a poll worker, please fill out the form below or download our printable form and return it to the Auditor's office.

The Pottawattamie County Auditor’s Office is looking for interested individuals to work at polling places on Election Day! Are you friendly, dependable, civic-minded, and detail-oriented? Apply to be a precinct election worker! No experience is necessary and training is provided.

Election board members must be registered voters of Pottawattamie County, their attendance must be dependable and they must get along well with others.

The Election Day begins at 6:00 a.m. and ends around 10:00 p.m. The work is pleasant and rewarding, time spent standing is minimal, and workers must remain at the polls all day. Pay is $200.00 for the entire day, plus mileage.

You will be contacted prior to each election that you are needed to serve.
